George Burkley was President John F. Kennedy's personal physician. I believe his medical license was later taken away from him.
Why did he lose his medical license?
@gollum,
Perhaps due to aging he stopped paying the fees to keep the license up to date?
@gollum,
In my recent Googling about him I have not seen anything that mentions his medical license being taken away. Do you have any links for this?
You might find this excerpt from the book A First-Rate Madness of interest:
A First-Rate Madness: Uncovering the Links Between Leadership and Mental Illness
By Nassir Ghaemi
A summary of the excerpt follows:
It speaks of a Doctor Max Jacobsen who was injecting Kennedy for pain. It was later learned via Burkley's intervention that the injections included testosterone, amphetamines and narcotics and Jacobsen was investigated by NY in 1971 and found him medically dangerous and stripped him of his medical license.
@Butrflynet,
Butrflynet-
Thank you. I see now my question should have been about Dr. Max Jacobsen not George Burkley.
