Toxic Cambrian oceans
By 520 million years ago, the oceans of the
world were teeming with diverse forms of animal life addicted to the newly abundant, life-giving oxygen in the surface environment. Arthropods, many — like the trilobites — now extinct, ruled the seas, over-shadowing the relatively few extant members of our own animal group, the chordates. issue Gill et al. illuminate a likely cause.
It means at that time, it means no later than 250 million years ago. After 1795, many people surmised that Napoleon had ambitions to take power in France, by November, 1799, even before the coup, no one any longer doubted it. Whatever anyone thought before then, as of November, 1799, there was no longer any doubt.
