As mentioned in the previous Trivia Topic, the shortest word example is AERIOUS (with only 7 letters) - I discovered it about a year ago during some research.

The longest word examples are ALTERNIFLORUM and ALTERNIFLORUS (with 13 letters each). They are also good examples of "well-mixed vowels" because no two vowels are adjacent to one another.

It means Antidisestablishmentarianism is a political position that originated in nineteenth-century Britain, in opposition to proposals to remove the Church of England's status as the state church of Ireland and Wales.

In Ireland the Church of Ireland was disestablished in 1871. In Wales four Church of England dioceses were disestablished in 1920, subsequently becoming the Church in Wales. If you turn the adjectives in that list into adverbs, not only would have A, E, I, O, and U, but you'd also have Y.
