Are there errors in sentences and usage of 'bereave within'?

Generally, death is thought of as something sad and painful which takes away everything from us. But its sadness is our own perception which we bereave within. The suffering of death refers to the sufferings one experiences at the moment of death.

1. Are there any error in the sentences?
2. Is 'bereave within' correctly used?

Thanks.

The word bereave is not correctly used. Living people are bereaved when someone they love dies. Death bereaves us. We do not bereave anything.
