@Eva,
I put dampened tea towels on both of the dogs after I got home - seems to have helped with the panting quite a bit.

funny you'd mention that, we had a thermostat installed (free of charge) that does the same thing, the guy came in February, installed it and while he was hooking it up, he alerted us to the fact that some insulation on the inside of the blower unit had come loose and was getting sucked up against the side of the blower, he pulled it out and said, "this kind of thing will burn out your motor" (and boy was he right, don't know how long the motor was under strain from the constricted air flow, but it finally gave up)

move ahead to the summer and we turn on the air, and we get nothing, call our heating cooling guy, he comes out, turns out the guy who hooked up the thermostat had wired the cooling wrong, wired correctly the the A/C unit was working fine (until the blower motor finally died)

@jespah,
everybody" cooped up. The dogs and cat are in the same room where the AC vents are close to the floor and not up high. (We chose that way for th dining room-keeps cold air from blowing at your shoulders). Now its a group shot of all of em laying sprawled out by the AC vent

That idiot dog boy (pictured here) has some kinda wild hair up his behind. He has been running to the back door every 30 minutes to an hour. Summertime cabin fever?

@Region Philbis,
Nope. Not even a little bit.

I can feel the sticky coming anyway, tho.

Sometimes I miss Seattle.

Took a bike ride, went to the woods, temp dropped 10-15 degrees, that was nice. But the ride itself, brutal. I have stuff I need to do outside and I'm having a heckuva time psyching myself for it. (My car's a/c isn't working right either, the feeble emanations from the vent are smothered by the death rays coming in through the windows.)
