im working on driving out to NM those days. It is about 10 days before Mame gets here so I have a good window of time, just socking away pennies for it ..

That's what makes it all so exciting Smile You never know what's going to happen.

I'm bringing my bathing suit and I'm going swimming in THAT pool and staring with Chai. I have some goggles somewhere - I'm sure I can find them. We can be twins. Goggling and staring and swimming. Shewolf needs a pair, too. We will all report back.

I also want to see chai's neighbour with the sidewalk or sign or whatever it was. Maybe it was a tree. I'm the one with Alzheimer's. I want to see every damn weird thing she ever told us about. And that goes double for the weirdos in the pool.

Now I've got to come up with a list of things to show Mame.

A sidewalk.....check

um...a concrete parking curb. She'd like that.

Oh! A doorknob! Definately haz to show her a doorknob!

I think I'll really surprise her, and take her somewhere and buy something. Then I'll show her the piece of paper that comes out of the register and say, "This is what we call a Receipt"

Ooh! Ooh! Take her to a real restaurant. She'll be amazed that someone else will cook for her AND serve her, too! And clean up afterward!
