Leaking drums

Does anyone know of a good, safe way to seal a leak in a pickling drum? My drum is 50 gallons, and has acquired a leak. Is there a way to stop the leak that is cheaper than buying a new drum? Thanks for any advice!

@michelle54,
There could be a few ways, but first I'd have to know what your drum is made out of?
