Cracked pickling crock

Can we put a plastic liner in the cracked crock and use it for the pickles? It takes several days in the brine. Will the plastic hurt the pickles?

Yes.the plastics are not much good to preserve the food items especially like the pickles.The pickles can easily react with the plastic materials.So that it can not be preserve and protect
