@spendius,
No, but the kind and degree of gambling that is allowed varies widely from
state to state. My own state of Massachusetts just recently legalized
casino gambling. Until casinos are in place here, sports betting will involve
a trip to another state or utilizing a more -- ahem -- informal agency.

Or so I'm told.

I think all restrictions on services providing for basic human needs will always result in corruption. And gambling is a basic human need for those men who have not yet been wived out of their wits and whose other basic human needs are temporarily satiated.

Johnboy: please change my pick to TB (over Carolina).

The little Bay Elf told me Buccs QB Freeman will behave and not throw any Pick 6 on Sunday.

@Ragman,
Done.
NPR just reported that the Packers, the only team that is publicly owned, will be issuing new shares @ $250/each. I asked the folks on the Cheesehead Central thread for details. Perhaps somebody know something about this.

@realjohnboy,
I don't have time this evening to comment on how our picks as a group work out this week. I have to go to a "gala" fundraiser for a local charity (wine/cheese, silent auction). These things are never gala; the same people smiling bravely and wishing that they didn't have to be there. They would probably donate more if they could opt out of attending. A member of the board rejected my excuse of not being comfortable driving at night. "We'll pick you up," she chirped.
We are divided 15-5 in favor of the Eagles tonight.
I picked up Young as my Fantasy QB today.

@ossobuco,
Cyclops is in the lead, followed by Rhys, Alex, Tico, George, Jes, McG, Fbaezer, Thack, Cyclop's friend Jason, MM, and bringing up the rear ... RJB.

@Ticomaya,
I didn't have to dress up and the couple who drove me there are an amazing team. Both of them politically and socially active. We walked in and they split the room, with handshakes and hugs by name to everyone they met. They bid early on the silent auction items, realizing that others would probably have to bid higher. We left by a back door. I am back home, now.
Philly not doing well.

@ossobuco,
I really stink in the fantasy football league. My draft strategy (RB's followed by WR's) didn't turn out well with who I got. I thought QB's (in a 12 team league) would be all relatively equal and interchangeable week to week. That was a bad decision. Clearly there are some stud QB's and a bunch of others injured, and a crop of mediocre leftovers to choose from.
The race at the top of the fantasy league is intense and fun to watch.

As we returned from the gym, listening to Philadelphia/Seattle on the car
radio, Rhys asked whether I was starting Maclin of the Eagles. I said yeah.
'"He's out for this game," said Rhys with a smile. Punk.

Hey, Hey. How is everyone doing this evening? Seattle hosting Philly. I have Seattle.
So. There have been 13 different people here helping me flip coins. For the last few weeks my friend JohnBoy has been tracking down "celebrity" A2K'ers. He got a new one for Week #14 already who wrote Johnboy with a sequence of H's and T's. Suggest to me how you want them assigned. Top to bottom? Bottom to top.? I am more then a bit confident that the poster does not follow football at all.
