The Fantasy Fantasy A2K NFL Pick-Um Thread for 2011-2012

FWIW, here's some passing thoughts on the matches and my picks:

For better or worse, I'm sticking to my picks. I think the odds are pretty high that I'll fall further behind after tonight. However, if I were a betting man, I'd be hard pressed to put money on Pats. This pick is motivated mainly by loyalty for me BUT the Pats sure haven't lost 3 in a row since Bush was Prez (speaking of losers). I gotta go with my gut - even though Jets allstar Center Mangold is back from injury. This could be a game of more rushing than we're sued to with these teams. I'd love to see BenJarvis-Green-ellis law firm do a lot of 'run bubba run'.

Lions-Bears should be VERY interesting but I think at home I can't go against the Bears. Cutler is getting some decent protection recently.

Steelers-Bengals...can't go against Steelers pedigree. Bengals have come a long way but with a rookie QB Dalton going against a stout D is not a good combo.

I think Giants-49ers..might catch a lot of us (49er pickers) by surprise, but not too likely. 49ers are VERY physical and seem to be on a mission.

Ahaha! I use this Pick-em as a brain exercise for my aging brain. However, it's not like all that thought makes a bit of difference. This is FOOTBALL - a game of emotion as well as skill. Some weeks it's been more a balance leaning towards more emotion than skill.

I'll admit I took it as that his stature is not down to nothing but he's no longer god, and I think that is possibly slightly true.
