@edgarblythe,
Allees are often beautiful.

Here's one online, of the Lucca wall (I've other photos of my own, but am a poor photo connector) -

To Spendi, allees are contrived by definition, and many problematic. I remember a drive through the redwoods to a friend's house. Lights mandatory.

Alleys are also spots for illegality and immorality to take place.

But that is putting Shakespeare down which I don't think Dylan was doing. I think he meant that Shakespeare was the way in to here. What did he want to find out that the French girl had revealed?

It's a very interesting verse.

It's in the vein of Einstein disguised as Robin Hood.

@spendius,
Have you seen that slow-mo version of It's All Over Now Baby Blue at Woodstock with the bonfires burning in the crowds?

@spendius,
Spendi, you know I am night blind, or do you? I wasn't ever walking the wall at night. Good grief, I could topple and that is a very tall wall. I'll see what I can find in other people's photos.

Conversely, I love night photos and especially twilight photos, those the most ... piquant.

So do you look at night photos as a predator?

@ossobuco,
Come on The Chargers. 1st and goal at the Kansas 2, ten times, is my kind of poetry.

@spendius,
erm, on the Lucca Wall at night, photos are all rights reserved. I'll leave it to your imagination.

I trust the Chargers will win.

@Miz Cowdoc,
Hi, Miz. Thanks. But - I don't know when your birthdays are..

Mine is noticed since I've been here on a2k a long time. (though you two were in Abq to visit before I moved here)

the thing is, football followers birthdays may matter. Possibly more than other mechanisms for choosing winning teams..

I kid, hope to meet you.

Maybe we can get Tico to visit.

@ossobuco,
We were both born in January. I may as well tell you now, (cause he will as soon as he sees this post) I am 5 years older than him. For one day the 11th I am 6 years older than he is. I never hear the end of that! It would be great to meet with you.

Cripes!! Drat.

Chargers 1st and 10 at KC 15 with 48 seconds to go and Mr Rivers fumbles the snap. That's like me missing the frying pan with an egg.

Week #8 Results:
We had a good week with lots of solid picking. As a group we went 177-83 (.681) which is among our best outings.
Johnboy (11-2) won the week thanks to KC beating SD (or is it SD losing to KC). A bunch of people finished 10-3: Spendius, Edgar, Andy, Mis Cowdoc and CoastalRat. A larger group came in a 9-4, including Osso, Jespah, Region, JPB, Tico, McGentrix, ehBeth and Ragman.
Wandeljw, Cowdoc and LiontamerX managed 8-5's while Rhys and Mysteryman ended above water at 7-6. George's eggs tended to miss the frying pan. He was 6-7.
CoinToss (5-8) had a notably bad session. The best ESPN guy was 10-5 while the worst was 8-5.
