@Midjeartist,
From The Big E's website:

A Message Regarding Springfield Area Tornadoes

The Big E grounds sustained no damage during the devastating tornadoes
that hit our area. All of our staff are reported to be safe. Our thoughts and
prayers are with those in West Springfield and our neighboring communities.
This weekend's shows are taking place as scheduled.

@George,
SOunds like everything is ok. When I first saw the photos of that truck that was flipped over on the apron of the rotary on the "E" side of the river, I was quite concerned that the damage was really widespread.

This is tiurning out to be a very active tornado season, and its opnly June. We get one or two each year from July to October.

What's amazing to me is that so many folks just didn't know what to do, even though warnings were broadcast over and over again on TV and radio.

There needs to be an emergency warning system in place as is the case in the tornado belt of the USA.

@Miller,
It seems that the "tornado belt" has widened beyond it's usual tracks, don't you think?
