The "rest day" gives me an impression of "rest in peace (RIP)."

So the author says "when I rest in peace, it will be very nice to read the book." Very Happy

Please tell me your intuition when you read the quotation.

It's probably got something to do with growing up in Calvin Park, but rest day always translates to day of rest to me ... and day of rest means Sunday.

soooooooo that translates to "It's very nice to read on Sunday" for me

Using 'the' here sounds odd, Ori. The situation, unless there is some already known context, eg. the book refers to, say, the bible, is one of the general condition

--> It is very nice to read a book on [at] the rest day.

You couldn't be misreading that if that's what you see/saw there, Joe. I din't see that hence my reply.

As many of us have said time and again, CONTEXT CONTEXT CONTEXT and then finally, CONTEXT.
