@parados,
Quote:That must mean you don't have insurance on your vehicles then because it's not insurance if the government makes you carry it.
There are no federal mandates to have car insurance though. No IRS coming after you if you don't have car insurance. Plus if you don't own a car, you don't have to have car insurance.
What the Federal govt did with health insurance, is basically make everyone carry full coverage with different levels of individual or family out of pocket expenses, and then subsidized it.
Quote:The states were not doing it right as evidence by the increase in the number of people with insurance and the fact that fewer people with insurance will need to declare bankruptcy because they found out too late that their insurance was crap.
We can agree that the more people who have insurance the better. We disagree about how Obama and the Dems went about it. The major increase in people with coverage comes from Medicaid which isn't insurance they are paying for, that is being paid for by you and I.
I wonder what is going to happen with the ACA with the coming ruling on the way the federal exchange has been working in regards to payments made by the govt. Do you think they are going to stick to the wording of the law or are they going to cheat like they did with the fines vs taxes?
