It does seem strange if one doesn't understand the reason behind these Republican women's vote. Those Republican women who vote against more freedom for their own sex are usually ultra rightwing conservatives with a pronounced pro-life stance. Ordinary women, though, Republican and Democrat, are pro-choice....the latter being sane.
