Yes! Senator Edward J. Markey makes the case for policies that address climate change and offers a hilarious new solution for how to deal with climate change deniers in Congress. Check it out: http://bit.ly/1jG0jGh

@RexRed,
Why is it that vets vote for the very people who cut their benefits?

U.S. Senate Republicans block veterans' health bill on budget worry
BY RICHARD COWAN
WASHINGTON Thu Feb 27, 2014 3:50pm EST

(Reuters) - U.S. Senate Republicans blocked legislation on Thursday that would have expanded federal healthcare and education programs for veterans, saying the $24 billion bill would bust the budget.

Even though the legislation cleared a procedural vote on Tuesday by a 99-0 vote, the measure quickly got bogged down in partisan fighting.

Supporters said the measure would have brought the most significant changes in decades to U.S. veterans' programs. For example, it called for 27 new medical facilities to help a healthcare system that is strained by veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Any one want to know why there's a backlog of service to our veterans at VA hospitals? One guess.

Maybe, we need ten committees to look into this problem.

That is easy. Obama did not keep another promise. As president he could have cleaned things up anytime(or at least after he sees it the paper)with bi partisan support. But patriotism is the last thing he wants. Talking about it doesn't count.

He campaigned on the problem and has done nothing. Hack.

Pretty bad coming from NBC. In fact almost unbelievable that they would let any reporter say such a thing. Maybe this one (Engel) is fed up with the ass kissing.

Markey is the guy who wants to regulate free speech on the internet through the government and its determination on what hate speech is. Who wants anything to do with a worm like this? Climate freaks and Islamists, I guess.

@RexRed,
Letting people and business keep what they make isn't redistributing. That is keeping what you make. Why do you think you should get more of what someone else makes?

Before you start lying, you need to realize that for the last 5 years the VA has been rolling forward a surplus. They have had left over money each year and haven't spent it. Instead of using that money to care for vets, they keep rolling it forward so that they can claim more money. Once they spend what they get, then they can get more. Until then all the VA is doing is wasting money. They can't afford the vets, but they can spend millions on new furniture before the end of the govt fiscal year. What a ******* waste of money. Why do admins need new office chairs?

What do you think our free education is? How do you think how our infrastructure is paid for? What do you think the GI Bill is?

You don't have national values; you have conservative values to the extreme.

That's the reason why the GOP didn't approve the latest legislation to help our veterans, cut consular security funds, didn't approve extended unemployment benefits, cut food stamps, and cut tax credits for children of illegal immigrants.

The children didn't do anything bad; why are they (the GOP) making them suffer?
