On Capitol Hill, it’s all about priorities
http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/capitol-hill-its-all-about-priorities

After obsessing over Benghazi and the IRS, Republicans are demanding to know: why won't Democrats focus on jobs?
It's tough to know where to start with this one, but it's a misguided charge on multiple levels.

Congress can't subpoena the President. Anyone that thinks they can should read the Constitution and look up court rulings on that issue.

Ask a Republican what their "golden age" was and they will point to Eisenhower (some of the highest taxes ever and high wages and employment) and Reagan (higher taxes than Clinton who also had high employment figures).

How does someone dead for almost sixty years comment on the "new Islamists"? Oiuji Board? But go ahead please do tell!

http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_River_War&oldid=420401732

Here's more quotable from Winnie:

For more than a thousand years the influence of Mohammedanism, which appears to possess a strange fascination for negroid races, has been permeating the Soudan, and, although ignorance and natural obstacles impede the progress of new ideas, the whole of the black race is gradually adopting the new religion and developing Arab characteristics. In the districts of the north, where the original invaders settled, the evolution is complete, and the Arabs of the Soudan are a race formed by the interbreeding of negro and Arab, and yet distinct from both... The qualities of mongrels are rarely admirable, and the mixture of the Arab and negro types has produced a debased and cruel breed, more shocking because they are more intelligent than the primitive savages.

The whole book is pretty racist, what with it being an account of the white man's appointment with his destiny to conquer black and "Mohammedan" men. The New York Times review of the 1899 version says as much: "The River War was... a logical and an important incident in the progressive story of our race." It opens by listing British conquests in Africa, then says they're "part of one great movement. This movement is centuries old. It has its vicissitudes, but it is the most persistent political phenomenon now visible to mankind. It is the forward movement of the men born to speak the English tongue." http://query.nytimes.com/mem/archive...in&oref=slogin There we go, toss in some sexism and ethnocentrism while we're at it.

Canada Free Press (CFP) is a proudly independent, 24/7 news site, updating constantly throughout the day. More than 100 writers and columnists file regularly to CFP from all corners of the globe. CFP rides on credibility and is edited by a lifelong journalist.

Canada Free Press does not sell, loan or give out its mailing list to anyone. You will receive a confirmation email back to the email you entered. You must respond to the email in order to receive our mail out of latest news and opinion.

Although we have been posting to the Internet for more than 14 years, on May 15, 2012 CFP celebrated its eighth anniversary as a daily. Espousing Conservative viewpoints, cornerstone of which focuses on love of God, love of family, love of country, CFP maintains a loyal and growing readership.

CFP senior journalist/editor Judi McLeod tries to answer each and every letter sent to CFP by readers. CFP's main ongoing inspiration is to provide accurate and well-researched stories for a loyal readership that are not printed or posted elsewhere.

CFP's Motto: "Because without America there is no Free World" is as meaningful today as it was when first adopted. America and the Free World must be guarded by all who believe in Liberty. Mantra: Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice (1596): "Truth will come to light; murder cannot be hid long; a man's son may, but in the end truth will out.”

I never said new Islamists. And the Salafi movement proves that old and new make no difference. Islam is just as cruel and devious as it has always been. The Koran never changes and trying to change it means certain death in the Muslim world.

When you learn something about Islam and what it really says, let us know.

Winston also said that Atlee's reforms would require "some form of Gestapo." He was completely wrong in that respect. The establishment of the NHS was, (and still is,) incredibly popular.

How Homosexuality Is Bad For Your Health

Public service message.

Quote:
By now, most of our readers are quite aware of the numerous health issues associated with the homosexual lifestyle’s risky and dangerous behavior. The typical physical risks discussed include anorectal disorders (hemorrhoids, fissures, warts, hemorrhaging, anal cancer), HIV/AIDS and a whole host of other harmful STDs (Chlamydia trachomatis, Cryptosporidium, Giardia lamblia, Herpes simplex virus, Human papilloma virus, Isospora belli, Microsporidia, Gonorrhea, Viral hepatitis types B & C, Syphilis). Although each of these physical health hazards can also be found among heterosexuals, they occur with extraordinary frequency among the homosexual population. And all of these factors contribute to the shorter lifespans reported among members of their community.

Quote:
A February American Journal of Public Health study, one of a collection of research articles, found the following disparities between LGBTQ and heterosexual adolescents:

CIGARETTE SMOKING

35.6% LGBTQ 14.4% heterosexual

BINGE DRINKING

34.3% LGBTQ 22.1% heterosexual

OVERWEIGHT

32.7% LGBTQ 27.2% heterosexual

Quite an alternative lifestyle. These are facts. Do not confuse them as anything else.

What does that say for the rest of the country? You look around in northern CO, and the same is being said for this area. We have a lot of high tech jobs here, and with high tech jobs comes good wages and benefits. It says nothing of lower paying jobs which there are more people to fill.

Good for him. You people do not count the humans in China and India spitting out pollution. Why is that? Climate change is just an excuse for Cap and Trade. If Rubio is smart enough to see through that is all the better.

The EPA regulations are already killing the economy that Obama refuses to do anything about, but make it worse.
