@RexRed,
That's a good one. Republican media? Yeah that exists. Anything to make Obama look good. CNN a Republican media outlet? HAHAHAHAHA
@coldjoint,
You might have more of a moral case if you didn't come from a country that, like Iran, carries out executions. The amount of innocent people, black people in particular, who have been summarily executed by
your country beggars belief.
@Region Philbis,
Why can't conservatives see the facts in front of their faces?
They won't approve minimum wage, then think people should be able to pay for living expenses such as shelter and food.

The GOP in Missouri is mounting an effort to impeach the governor. In response, someone published the following.
GOP has lost the popular vote in five of the last six Presidential elections. Goof-Off Party agenda is fuelled less by ideas than by resentments and pretends to addresses the most critical problems facing the country which is mostly a ludicrous barrage of falsehoods:
1. Rich people don't have enough money
2. Poor people have too much access to health care
3. It's too easy for certain people (descendants of slaves) to vote
4. Stockpile incandescent light bulbs
5. If homosexuals went to church on Sunday they wouldn't be homosexual
6. Legalized pot means that the prison industry loses longstanding customers
7. With Afghanistan winding down we’re dangerously close to not having a war. BTW, longest in the history of the USA
8. Obamacare is a socialist plot designed to make Americans live longer….. Just like citizens in Germany, Japan, Finland, Switzerland and about two dozen other “developed” countries with universal health care.
9. The problem with Food Stamps is that without them WalMart + McDonalds would have to pay a living wage… so, who gets subsidized gubmint $ here?
10. A cowboy hat doesn’t look stupid with a suit.
11. “If fetuses had guns they wouldn’t be aborted.” Rep. Steve Stockman (R – TX)
12. GOP needs to make sure all unwanted children are born so they can take away their food stamps.
13. Four dead in Benghazi!!!!!!!!!!!! 4,400 dead in Iraq when we invaded the WRONG COUNTRY after Bush/Cheney WMD lies and convincing 2/3rds of US that Sadaam was behind 9/11. US troops were going to be greeted with confetti + flowers instead of roadside bombs + war would be paid for with Iraq oil. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED….. By the way, 4,400 – 4 = 4,396
14. NRA gun lobby needs something to sell the public other than fear. How about this? "NRA defends the right of every child in America to grow up safe + protected from gun violence." Nah..., let's stick with preventing imagined tyranny.
15. With global temperatures rising, Artic ice melting, bizarre weather all around us, and "storms of the century" occurring every few months, how do we continue to convince our constituents that climate change science is inaccurate so that oil interests continue to fund our re-election campaigns?
16. Tanning salon tax discriminates against pale people
17. Too many child-bearers in the Senate at historical high of 20% women... Score: 16 DEM and 4 GOP women Senators; 61 DEM and 19 GOP women Representatives
18. Patriot Act signed by GW Bush on October 26, 2011. But when we said the President could listen to our phone calls we didn’t mean the black guy
19. Chamber of Commerce strategist Scott Reed; “Our No. 1 focus is to make sure, when it comes to the Senate, that we have no loser candidates…. That will be our mantra: No fools on our ticket.”
20. George Carlin said it best:
"Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren't they? They're all in favor of the unborn. They will do anything for the unborn. But once you're born, you're on your own. Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, they don't want to know about you. They don't want to hear from you. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you're preborn, you're fine; if you're preschool, you're f**ked."
21. GOP Healthcare Plan: What's wrong with Bake Sales and Beef 'n Beer fundraisers for bankrupt uninsured cancer patients in need of $250,000? By the way, Health care costs are #1 cause of personal bankruptcy in US.
22. Harvard-educated Constitutional Law professor president is a sleeper-cell Arab Muslim plotting to conquer Nebraska with UN troops to assure a 3rd term presidency with Chelsea Clinton as VP.
23. Why are States with most registered sex offenders also GOP States? Just wondering.....
24. Women contribute to their own raping... otherwise, their body would "just shut it down"...ya know, sperm can do a U-turn
25. Tea Party “movement” is about rallying ordinary struggling Americans behind an idealized anti-tax/deregulatory agenda that, in an amazing coincidence, is also favored by super-wealthy industrialists.
26. Anti-science propaganda: A tactic to keep the rank-and-file riled up, to divert their attention from areas of common sense and the common good.
27. USA exceptionalism: Proud to have the best and most well-equipped mass murderers in the world….… just need to legalize suicide bombers
28. Schools must educate our children that Adam + Eve rode a dinosaur to church 6,000 years ago
29. Why are States with more than half the students on free or subsidized school lunch also GOP States? Just wondering......
30. If all school children carried guns there would be no school shootings… except it might be a heavy lift for the kindergarteners
31. Why are teen pregnancies highest in GOP states? Just wondering….
32. Divine Justice: The GOP, having played the God card so shamelessly for so many years, finds itself powerless to rebut the most prominent critic of income inequality/opportunity on the planet. Some people “continue to defend trickle-down theories”, a belief that “has never been confirmed by the facts” and one that “expresses a crude and naïve trust in the goodness of those wielding economic power”…. Meanwhile, “the excluded are still waiting.”… "The promise was that when the glass was full, it would overflow benefiting the poor. But what happens instead is that when the glass is full, it magically gets bigger--nothing ever comes out for the poor"…. Pope Francis
33. Why are GOP states also the most obese states? Just wondering….
34. CORPORATE Welfare Queens: GE doesn’t pay any Fed income tax but that’s OK as long as they’re not “taking” food stamps. GOP may say they want small government, but what they’re pushing for is a govt that’s small when it comes to helping people and big when it comes to helping business.
35. People who get money from government for doing nothing are parasites… Just like Boehner’s House of Representatives
36. Why is Boehner’s skin darker than Obama’s… sup with that?
Sup with this music group “The Beatles”?... Hair makes them look like girls
37. Gravity is caused by the devil trying to suck us all into hell
38. GOP legislatures think they’re turning their backs on Obamacare, but they’re really turning their back on people in their state without health insurance, many who lost their job in the recession.
39. Pin the blame on the darkie.

41. "Give me your tired, your poor,

42. “No government which is for profiteers can also be for the people.” Rose Pastor Stokes 1918
43. TOP SECRET DON’T TELL ANYONE: Teaholes are actually undercover agents working for Obama to destroy GOP.
@cicerone imposter,
What's that CI, that the majority of people who are min wage earners are single people with no children between the ages of 18 and 25? The min wage argument as it has been done doesn't even use facts.
I personally don't have an issue with raising the min wage but the arguments used are false.
@Baldimo,
Actually about half the minimum wage workers are over 25.
@MontereyJack,
I don't think these tables agree with you:
http://www.bls.gov/cps/minwage2012tbls.htm#7
@Baldimo,
It does seem to agree.
3,550 total at or below min wage
1,790 16-24 at or below min wage
1790/3550 is 50.4% are 24 or under
@parados,
Ok so 49.6 percent are 25 and older. The equals out to about 1.7 million people. What it doesn't address is their marital status or whether or not they have children. You based your response on age only.
@Baldimo,
Your statement was this....
Quote:What's that CI, that the majority of people who are min wage earners are single people with no children between the ages of 18 and 25?
Your statement clearly is NOT accurate based on the facts unless all those 24 and under are also 18 and over and all of them are single and all of them have no children.
You may be confused about the meaning of the word "and".
Paul Ryan is an embarrassment.
How do you cut money from a program that does not take any money from the budget?
