by Ed Morrissey, HotAir) – Dan Calabrese’s new column on Hillary Clinton’s past may bring the curtain down on her political future. Calabrese interviewed Jerry Zeifman, the man who served as chief counsel to the House Judiciary Committee during the Watergate hearings, has tried to tell the story of his former staffer’s behavior during those proceedings for years. Zeifman claims he fired Hillary for unethical behavior and that she conspired to deny Richard Nixon counsel during the hearings:

As Hillary Clinton came under increasing scrutiny for her story about facing sniper fire in Bosnia, one question that arose was whether she has engaged in a pattern of lying.

The now-retired general counsel and chief of staff of the House Judiciary Committee, who supervised Hillary when she worked on the Watergate investigation, says Hillary’s history of lies and unethical behavior goes back farther – and goes much deeper – than anyone realizes.

Jerry Zeifman, a lifelong Democrat, supervised the work of 27-year-old Hillary Rodham on the committee. Hillary got a job working on the investigation at the behest of her former law professor, Burke Marshall, who was also Sen. Ted Kennedy’s chief counsel in the Chappaquiddick affair. When the investigation was over, Zeifman fired Hillary from the committee staff and refused to give her a letter of recommendation – one of only three people who earned that dubious distinction in Zeifman’s 17-year career.

Why?

“Because she was a liar,” Zeifman said in an interview last week. “She was an unethical, dishonest lawyer. She conspired to violate the Constitution, the rules of the House, the rules of the committee and the rules of confidentiality.”

@coldjoint,
Ziefman's memory seems to be going. He said only 3 years ago that he laid her off with several others because the work was over.

Three secret service agents have been sent home for excessive drinking. What does that tell you?

It tells me that our president can't even command the respect of those who are sworn to protect him. Why would any world leader respect him?

I seriously doubt that leading Democrats respect him, but see him as a puppet and nothing more. The media slavishly tries to make him look good no matter what happens. That is not out of respect. That is out the the bottom line of expanding the liberal, radical progressive message and Obama is along for the ride.

Negativity is conquered by love. I don't feel you have the right to speak negatively of the person who is president of the United States of America.

“Three Secret Service agents responsible for protecting President Obama in Amsterdam this week were sent home and put on administrative leave Sunday after going out for a night of drinking, according to three people familiar with the incident. One of the agents was found drunk and passed out in a hotel hallway, the people said. (Washington Post, March 25, 2014)

“The hotel staff alerted the U.S. Embassy in the Netherlands after finding the unconscious agent Sunday morning, a day before Obama arrived in the country, according to two of the people. The embassy then alerted Secret Service managers on the presidential trip, which included the agency’s director, Julia Pierson.

Seems that the unpresidential president is not just driving people who work for him to drink.

“Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan confirmed Tuesday evening that the agency “did send three employees home for disciplinary reasons” and that they were put on administrative leave pending an investigation. Donovan declined to comment further. (Washington Post)

Poll: Undecided 2014 voters disapprove of Obamacare by 40 point margin

http://hotair.com/archives/2014/03/26/poll-undecided-2014-voters-disapprove-of-obamacare-by-40-point-margin/
Quote:
(1) Less than one-fourth of respondents (24 percent) say Obamacare will make things better for their family; 41 percent say it will make things worse.

(2) Only 11 percent of Americans expect the overhaul to lower healthcare costs — including just three percent of undecided voters — a brutal assessment of one of the law’s top promises. Sixty percent say Obamacare will increase costs.

(3) Twenty-three percent of respondents say the law will improve access to care, while 37 percent believe the opposite. On quality of care, 18 percent foresee improved care, whereas 37 percent are bracing for an erosion.

(4) Less than a third of the public (31 percent) says Congress should leave the law intact or expand it. Everyone else is split evenly between either making changes to the law (35 percent), and de-funding or repealing it (34 percent). As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, one of the most popular “fixes” to Obamacare is delaying or repealing the individual mandate tax — which would gut the law.

(5) Among respondents who’ve visited Obamacare’s online exchange, 73 percent chose not to purchase coverage — and among that group, the top reason cited was “the price of health insurance policies.” These results mirror other studies on the uninsured population’s interaction with the new law.

(6) Americans split almost evenly on the question of which political party they generally trust more on healthcare-related policies, with Democrats holding a slim 52/48 edge. Democrats have traditionally enjoyed a double-digit advantage on this question.

Don't you just with this means what you want it to mean!!!

Obamacare will be recognized in history as the beginning of America finally catching up to the rest of the industrialized world on health care.

It will continue to be known as Obamacare.

The Republicans will continue to do everything in their power to destroy it...but at some point they will try to own it. They will own Obamacare.

They are losers...and they will always be supported by people lacking in enough common sense to see them for what they are.

@Frank Apisa,
The ACA is doing so awesome, that they have gone and extended another deadline. How many times have different aspects of the ACA been delayed? Now we have another one and as long as it continues to be such a huge success Rolling Eyes they will continue to delay the most important aspects. Notice that all of the delays happen to fall after election cycles?

And they can't even get the excuses straight. Harry Reid says it is because people don't know how to use the internet. And Jay Carney says it is a surge in demand.

Republicans need to make sure people know this is a ploy. The MSM will never admit that.

I notice in those poll results only one third of the country wants to de-fund Obamacare or repeal it. And two-thirds does NOTwant to repeal or de-fund it. Gonna have a hard time taking over the country with only one-third of it behind you on your signature position, GOP.

@MontereyJack,
That's what it seems like when looking at polls on ObamaCare, but when it comes time to vote, they forget all that shyt, and vote their conservative-No Party members back into congress.

The GOP has tried 50 times to repeal ObamaCare - knowing that the Senate and Obama will NEVER APPROVE THIS BULL SHYT!
