@RexRed,
They vote for them, because they don't understand their extremism, lies, and contradictions. Everybody that knows them better will not vote for liars.

I want to vote all blue but I gotta go with Independent party Angus King. Polls say he has it.

Better than splitting the electorate... Dill doesn't have a chance in hell why don't they just drop out? Geesh!

Harry Reid Was Right: Mitt Romney Paid No Taxes for 15 Years

@RexRed,
The last three paragraphs from the article.
Quote:
So, when did Romney actually start paying taxes again? Well, since he hadn't paid any taxes at least since 1996, it's easy to discern that he began when he decided to run for president. Forethought. He knew his tax returns would be an issue, so he paid in 2011 and used that return as "proof" that he'd paid what was "legally required" of him.

So, here you see a man who made a conscious effort to evade taxes by using his own church as a tax shelter, you see a man who morphs into whatever hero it takes for him to get people on his side, a man who purchased the eHart InterCivic voting machines being used in Ohio and elsewhere, and you start to get a much more clear picture of the kind of man Mitt Romney is.

So, do you want a tax evader as president? Do you want a man who ships jobs overseas while pocketing profits to be your president? Do you feel comfortable not knowing where your president stands on issues because he's flip flopped whenever the occasion demanded it? Do you feel comfortable with a president whose whole goal in life is to make as much money as possible using whatever means it takes, even if it means ruining others? If so, Romney's your man. If not, then there are several other candidates out there just waiting for your vote.

We seem to have a whole bunch of masochists in this country who chooses to harm themselves by voting for Romney - the pathological liar and monster who doesn't give a hoot for others.

@RexRed,
So they had their own generators, and those generators didn't fail.
How does that demonstrate what's wrong with the country?

@cicerone imposter,
So, since what he did was legal, and he broke no laws, now that is somehow wrong?

@mysteryman,
So, you think there is nothing wrong with the law allowing the rich to pay not taxes?
You also see nothing wrong with the people that would champion such a thing?

@mysteryman,
No, what is wrong is that those who write the laws do not have your and my interests at heart when they do so. We elect them to represent our interests and then they focus their energies on writing laws that benefit those who will bankroll their next campaign. The tax law as it exists is wrong. The evolution of the tax code is wrong. Reelecting those who were complicit in creating the tax code as it exists is wrong.

@parados,
I agree, the law itself was a bad law.
However, it was the law and I don't see how you can blame anyone for taking advantage of and following the law.

@mysteryman,
Even if they've paid to have the law written to their advantage? I completely disagree.

@mysteryman,
I see no reason to vote into office someone that sees nothing wrong with such laws and is willing to sacrifice the country for their own benefit. If such a law benefited me I would work to overturn it. I would not simply take advantage of it and claim "it's the law so it must be OK."

@parados,
They're the ones who are first to advocate for a strong national defense, but are not willing to pay for any of it.

The biggest problem is that conservatives support this idiocy.

Then they complain about the national debt.

There's no cure for........

@RexRed,
They're not even a "religion." They're based on money, increasing their membership (except for blacks), support an evil Mormon like Mitt Romney for president who lies, cheats, and ruins lives, and get non-profit tax exemptions for their many businesses not unlike what they have done for Mitt Romney to shelter his income.

@RexRed,
Never happen.
Neither you, nor i , nor anyone else has any right to determine the maximum people get paid.
Yes, the govt can set a minimum wage, but they can't set a maximum wage.
And even if they could, what then?
If people know that they can only earn so much, why would they bother to try and produce more?
And now would that maximum wage be determined?
Would it be simply wages?
What about those people with stocks and bonds? Would the income they earn from those be included in that maximum wage?
What about property owners with rental property? Would that income be included in that maximum wage also?

You say we don't have the right to reign in on corporate greed? We can't regulate how business is conducted? On the other hand these same greedy 1% and the tax exempt religious have the right to tell LGBT people they can't marry and claim our own equality?

The teapublican party has made a mockery of human rights, They now openly support racism, sexism, voter suppression, buying off the media, destroying the environment but protect capitalism at all costs? That is not the American way I respect and cherish, far from it... Yes We Can limit capitalism with "regulations" while we insure human rights and moral business policies.

Walmart goes into Mexico and bribes off their elected officials... They are buying off our judges with big oil... The list of abuses goes on...

These CEOs are not capitalists... they are criminals and religious ideologues who are in violation of our most fundamental principles of democracy... Who goes to jail for bribery?
