It only makes sense that if more people pay into the system (as a general tax)
premiums will be lower and people will finally be able to see a doctor.

Since the majority have signed up for Medicaid and only one in twenty doctors see Medicaid patients, good luck with that.

@coldjoint,
I have medicaid an I have never been refused by any medical professional for any vital treatment.

Though I am not shopping around for free Viagra like most impotent conservatives.

@coldjoint,
I have paid for many years into the system as a field stoop laborer and so did my father and mother pay into the system... All of their lives...

Does that answer your question? I am not the one who is on medicaid objecting to others being on it.

I am not the one taking government corporate subsidies by the billions while trying to cut food stamps for veterans and lunches for school children COLDjoint.

Your own words will one day slap you in the face when you end up with your nursing home bills subsidized by others Mr. Ayn Rand.... But will it matter with such a cold-hearted jerk like you who has no conscience or compassion anyway. Not likely...

No, you judge without even considering that my situation might be wholly justified by my own life's hardships. Did you almost die in the last year of an illness?

I did not make millions off books disenfranchising the poor while applying for handouts...

I worked 30 plus years in concrete labor. I own my house and am financially secure. And this is my own doing without government help. I invested my money and made plans for retirement.

If I want to give my money away I will give it to who I wish not who the government tells me. And I pay taxes, so it goes to bullshit entitlements anyway.

What you consider cold hearted is just one guy who has taken personal responsibility seriously.

I also have raised two fine boys who obey the laws and contribute to society. In other words, they work.

@coldjoint,
First line of your post "I"... I I I...

No you made your money because of the selfless contributions of brave union pioneers who made sure you had a decent living wage...

You did nothing but "reap the benefits"... These union pioneers gave their OWN time and life's efforts away without knowing what a stingy selfish prick YOU would become.

Personal responsibility is easy when the hard work has gone before you.

Maybe you would like to go pour concrete in a sweat shop in China then you can BRAG on YOUR life's GREAT accomplishments...

I raised four children who weren't even my own (for 18 years).

I also donate my time online to help stingy idiots like yourself to think before they spew vomit on a page...

I am not perfect myself either but thankfully I am not a scrooge...

Where do you get your facts to say "People were paying thru the nose?" Most employer plans were affordable since the insureds actually WORKED!!! Those in the individual market had the ability to purchase some form of health insurance, while not as comprehensive as most employer plans, did provide for some coverage. Those who decided not to purchase did so at their own peril.

So that leaves us with the unemployed. Since they all should qualify for subsidies, the Taxpayers will pay the premium for them.

So far, I see no relief in premium as a result of this plan. I will not accept slower growth is a savings. Only stupid people and democrats believe that. The ACA did NOTHING to reduce premiums.

Now before you get your panties in a twist, the only way a National Health care system can work is a Single Payer System. Option 2 is to have Federal Mandates that the States must abide buy in order to accept an insurer in their State.

This current version of ACA was designed to fail. That is why the Democrats had to LIE to get it passed.

Repeat after me: POLLY NEEDS INSURANCE?

Insurers Denied Health Coverage to 1 in 7 People, Citing Pre-Existing Conditions
http://www.propublica.org/blog/item/insurers-denied-health-coverage-to-1-in-7-people-citing-pre-existing-condit

And after paying on a policy for many years you can be denied coverage (when you finally need to use it) for the same reason (pre existing conditions).

Can you answer this question for me? How cheap is a worthless policy?
