Echoing others: Nifty sense of style.
Especially love the wainscoting with blue (cloth?)
I also got a bungalow in S Fla in '09 but it was in perfect shape. A foreclosure.
I'm just now starting to re-trim the interior.

"Boy, that's some humidity ya got down there; the size of those mushrooms! Odd shape too"

The Bahama shutters do give it a mushroom look

Just lacking water...we're on a twice a week watering regimen. It'll perk up in June.

@jcboy,
Gosh!

Thanks for all the pictures, I love this stuff.

I like what you did with the porcelain (blue + cream porcelain in a blue + cream room). Much more interesting to make it mostly the deep cobalt blue with cream accents than other way 'round.

@jcboy,
Though I'm not so sure why someone would move to Florida, you should be quite proud of what you accomplished here.

The difference between before and after is quite staggering. A thousand kudoos for such a great job and a thousand more for your determination to finish the project.

@jcboy,
We lived next door to a New Zealand gentleman who was the manager at paint producing company. I used to hear all kinds of hammering, saw buzzing and various noises. So out of curiosity one weekend while he was sitting and enjoying the sunshine I asked him what he was doing as we were hearing all kinds of noise. He said he was renovating. It took him more than a year to finish his house. He put in a new floor and so on as he showed us around. Later on I saw him again at another city. He got laid of as manager and now he was in the renovation business.

@jcboy,
When I bought my house the front door was an ugly green. After the house was painted I painted the door black. I changed my mind and today I painted it red.

@CalamityJane,
As long as he doesn't put a red light in front i'm okay with it.

I love it!
I have a red front door, too. Mostly because I love how it looks at Christmas with an evergreen wreath hanging on it.
