@RexRed,
Romney wants to improve our economy by extending the GW Bush tax cuts, and giving the middle class more tax cuts.

That should decimate all of our public programs like schools and infrastructure. We'll become a third world country during Romney's first term as president.

Sometimes, we have to fear what we wish for.

Seems that the Tea Party and Romney will put the last nail in our casket as the US goes bye bye.

@cicerone imposter,
True, I think their plan is to devastate left leaning, science oriented, racially integrated public schools leaving a vacuum so religious schools can come in and indoctrinate our youth with their radicalized cultish doctrines of hate and mind control...

(A fictitious story, maybe)

The Little Iphone Girl

There once was a little Chinese girl who work at an Apple sweat shop in China. For a whole year she saved a dollar a day, nearly her entire year's wages. She worked tirelessly day and night assembling a part for Apple's Iphone... She was not sure what they were any good for but she knew they must be very important that she would be made a slave to its creation.

It was Christmas time and the little Chinese girl figured she would take her entire year's savings and buy an Iphone. She felt certain that this Iphone was the key to her getting out of this sweat shop and finding a new life somewhere green and far from the Iphone factory.

So she bought her new Iphone and and slipped out the door of the Apple sweatshop and ran further than she had ever been from the factory in her entire life. At one point she knew she was lost. It was bitter cold out and she brought a blanket to keep her warm and her backpack with her new Iphone in it.

As the little Chinese girl ran she thought about the holiday and how people had been rushing everywhere with brightly wrapped gifts. She imagined them going home to a nice family and a fireplace warm and cozy.

It was getting dark and her feet and hands were getting very cold. She wandered the streets and as it got even darker the streets emptied and it became desolate. She thought about the sweatshop and how foolish it was to have bought this Iphone. She had no one to call and did not even know how to use it. She continued running still thinking this Iphone was going to be her salvation.

It began to snow and it was now totally dark, then, ahead in the distance she saw a bright white light! She was so happy she ran towards the light, her heart began beating faster as she approached it. It was an Apple store front... She got closer and looked into the window of the store.

The door was locked, shut up tight because it was the holiday. She looked inside and saw many devices. The Ipad, the Iphone, and the Ipod, suddenly she became confused and bewildered and a sad look of realization came upon her face... perhaps she had bought the wrong product?

The store was so bright and there were various holiday decorations of good will hung in the store windows. She thought about the people who owned this store and how they must have been at home feasting on a big Christmas dinner and sitting behind their warm fireplaces keeping happy and safe. Then she remembered the Iphone in her backpack...

She took it out of its box and held it in her hands. She slid her nearly frozen finger along its smooth surface and suddenly it lit up. The light was sterile and frigid. Yet the back of the phone supplied a tiny bit of warmth. She gazed mesmerized at the surface of light as it gleamed in her eyes a tiny sparkle.

After a short while it would shut off and she would slide her finger once again across its surface to light it up only for its light to fade and eventually go out... I suppose you can all guess the end of this regrettable story...

History repeats itself and humans seem to never learn from its lessons of ill fate and inhumanity...

Capitalism is fine. The problem is when government get's involved in price fixing and manipulating the money supply. It is funny when these statements get made as if capitalism is the problem. The government is so good at deflecting blame. The FED is the biggest problem with the US economy and practically everyone refuses to see it.

Factor in "misinformation"... used to be called propaganda... Freedom of the bought off press... Disgraceful.

@RexRed,
It doesn't seem to phase conservatives that GW Bush's tax cuts and Great Recession is why the middle class and the poor are struggling.

I'm just wondering what will change their politics?
