I have quite a few years experience working over hot grills and fryolators, I think I can stand the heat just like the next person.

There is a fine line between grilling someone and tossing them under the bus. Smile

@RexRed,
That's the problem; the difficulties we are now experiencing is "constitutional." Commerce is "regulated" by our government, but that doesn't negate the fact that the middle class is getting screwed while the rich only gets richer.

That's because about three decades ago, when things started to turn-around to favor the rich, those who gained didn't have the moral fabric to speak out and say "enough is enough." Ethics have been missing from the business world for too long, and they don't teach ethics in business in grade school or college.

Whatever learning they get about ethics from their religion is a failure.

Greed has taken over, and the fault belongs to the board of directors and the CEO's and officers who gain at the cost of sharing the companies wealth with all workers. Look at what happened to the salaries and benefits between the two groups. CEO's and officers used to make about four or five times more than the average worker pay; now they "get" 300 times the average worker's pay and benefits.

It's broken, because ethics is a dirty word, and lost in the world of business.

@cicerone imposter,
Since this thread is also about "Obamaism," I'd like to share the info on current rhetoric coming from both sides about "outsourcing." The republicans are liars when they make charges against Obama most of the time. Read the following link of the NYT.

@RexRed,
Romney was on several tv shows yesterday claiming although he was CEO, President, and Chief Operating Officer of Bains Capital, he didn't run the company, because he was spending all his time managing the Olympics.

That would also mean that if elected president, and everything goes wrong, he'll say he's not responsible, because everybody else ran the show. He only had the title.

He can't have it both ways.

Romney's actual words were, "I don't recall" running Bain Capitol after 1999... You know what that means in political jargon...

US builds criminal cases in interest rate-fixing scandal
Prospect of charges could push financial institutions to settle with authorities

So I suppose the guilty parties would get sent off to corporate spa health club jails rather than to regular jails? Are there still jails for the rich and famous?

Comment: RR

David Gregory contrasts Obama speech a couple years ago...

Well David, that was before it came to light the record profits the upper class has been making while the middle class has shrunk.. The blue line does not indicate the middle class has actually shrunk but add the bank ripoffs and the blue line becomes less trustworthy of accuracy. And who has profited from these houses being forfeited? Errr... the banks...

David asks Dick Durbin, Well wont that hurt the upper class (1%) to raise their taxes? Boooo Hoooo.... The republican Senator Kyl responds with his bought off Koch brothers lies...

Apparently David Gregory has not see this chart...

http://i2.cdn.turner.com/money/2011/02/16/news/economy/middle_class/chart-rise-of-super-rich-2.top.gif

The blue line is the middle class... Which has remained in the same state of poverty since 1917! They have remained in the same poverty while the banks over inflated real estate and secretly fixed interest rates. The banks and corporations have lined their pockets while secretaries have been paying higher tax rates than corporate CEO's.

And if the upper class are such job creators, where are the jobs? No, we even have our US Olympic apparel made in China. Although they still charge an ungodly arm and a leg for the Olympic outfits while they are paying for slave labor in China to make them. The savings on labor for these uniforms have not been handed down to consumers... The only savings are what these corporations are paying the Chinese workers and profiting themselves for. It is a disgrace. And Mitt Romney is their patron saint...

The same with Apple Computers. Apple charges unheard of prices for their crappy hardware while exploiting Chinese workers of even their souls. Well at least the corporations supply the factory dorms buildings with nets so if the Chinese workers try and commit suicide the nets will catch them in mid air and they can be back on the assembly line the next day to work another week nonstop. Foreign labor is not trickling down to middle class savings either they are doubling the price for American consumers and paying 1/8 or even less the price for foreign labor... These corporations pocket the profits at all costs... Mitt is not the only corporation stashing his profits in foreign tax shelters either... He bid for presidency is the only reason this practice has been brought to light though it is most likely common practice for all major corporations. Midst all of these record profits Apple is has tried to worm its way out of green business practice agreements.

Remember the republican's mantra, "low taxes and no regulations..."

Apple Returns To Green Registry After Dropout ‘Mistake’
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-07-13/apple-says-removing-products-from-epeat-rating-a-mistake-.html

This was not a mistake! Apple knew what it was doing... Only when their freakish hippy consumer base began to protest in huge numbers did Apple reverse its toxic stance... Apple was improving their own bottom line at the expense of the environment which they have no intention of fixing once these crappy products of theirs end up in landfills because everyone needs a bigger and better "I" whatever.

(Apple's "I crap" products could have use solar cells too and improved the US markets on solar cells but that would have cut out the profits of the greedy utility companies...)

The only republican majority we need is the teapublicans and bankers out picking up the trash on roadsides left by their wasteful corporate consumer products.

Obama is our only hope...

Obama 2012!
