In starwars, the Jedi seemed pretty golden. they had complete fairness, intelligence, and what ever. would this work as a world government?
@hamilton,
Name one living Jedi. Just one.
The Jedi were a military force which dominated their societies through superior weaponry.
There have been plenty of military groups like this in real life. And all of them were said to be on the side of order, justice and intelligence (just ask anyone around them).

Chris Jarvis.
This is hilarious . . . i've got a "Battlestar Gallactica" ad at the top of the page. This site knows science fiction when it pops up.
@izzythepush,
Tom Middleton and Mark Pritchard
Global Communication is an electronic music act, composed of Tom Middleton and Mark Pritchard. Beyond their work as Global Communication, they have also recorded as Jedi Knights.
@maxdancona,
That's no jedi, that's an ewok.
damn, all I've got is a zipcar ad. All the good stuff happens to you, setanta. Life's a bitch.
Whewn I came back to see if anyone had posted something, there was the BSG ad--the Force works in mysterious ways.
No, no, he's the Evil Emperor, or maybe Darth Vader.

or i could mistaking that for some other jedi.

well, most of the old republic ones died, but does it matter? deliberate sabotage is what undid them.
this is beside the point. is there anything wrong with the jedi order that would make them a bad choice for a world (universal) government?
