Context:
Now, in a lawsuit, Huang wants Intel stripped of what it got out of that contract- access to Nvidia's patent portfolio relating to graphics technologies. Huang believes that in today's world of mobile, visually rich computing, virtually every chip in Intel's pipeline will eventually need inventions covered by his portfolio.
Portfolio has both a literal and a firguartive meaning. It comes from a French word--portefeuille--which means "carry leaves" (leaves as in sheets of paper). So in modern English, one would say a briefcase. However, the figurative meaning is a gathering of documents, such as reports, policy statements, the allocation of powers. A common usage is to say that Mr. Xyz has the foreign portfolio--meaning he is responsible for foreign relations.
In this case, patent portfolio means the group of patents which Nvidia has filed for it's graphics hardware and software (Nvidia is well known for providing graphics cards for computers, especially computers intended for playing video games).
