Reports have suggested that Hitler's nephew, Patrick, tried to blackmail his uncle over the issue of Alois Hitler's parentage. Hitler asked his lawyer, Hans Frank, to investigate the claims and he announced just before the outbreak of the Second World War that they were 'without any foundation'.
Don't believe anything you read in the Daily Mail. It's a rag. Mailer's the The Castle In The Forest is a brilliant read about Hitler's childhood. It's fiction but then again so's the Daily Mail.

Alois Hilter was Adolf Hilter's father. The section you bolded refers to Adolf Hitler directing his lawyer to investigate claims about his father.
