@gollum,
Do you mean "Kerry"?

And, if so, which one.

@gollum,
John Kerry never had a chance to avoid military service because during the time he was available, age wise, the USA wasn't involved in any military actions.

They were involved in a number of brutal and illegal invasions of sovereign nations and of course there was the ever present destabilization programs of the terrorist organization, the CIA.

Since WWII the US has only been involved, heavily involved, in state terrorism.

JTT when we get our war fighting robot technology more on line you had not seen nothing yet my silly friend.

Nothing like killing annoying people from the comfort of a computer control room state side.

Must be fun going to work/war in Las Vegas and after putting a few hell fire missiles up some camel driver rear end stopping by a casino for a few drink s and a little gambling on the way home.

@BillRM,
BillRM has gone from denying the fact that the US is a terrorist nation, a nation that is directly responsible for the slaughter of millions of innocents, to a "man" that fully embraces, revels in, that type if immorality.

As I have mentioned, there's no shortage of morally depraved individuals in the USA.

He got a scratch that required a band-aid and that got his worthless butt out of Vietnam

tsarstepan-
Thank you. The question is before he joined the Navy, did he try to avoid military service?

@gollum,
Quote:
As [college] graduation approached, Kerry knew that he had three choices: be drafted, seek a deferment for graduate school, or join up and position himself to become an officer. ``It was clear to me that I was going to be at risk,'' Kerry recalled. ``My draft board . . . said, `Look, the likelihood is you are probably going to be drafted.' I said, `If I'm going to be drafted, I'd like to have responsibility and be an officer.' ''
