@FOUND SOUL,
That will only become an issue should Harry or his heirs look like becoming the next monarch.

Personally I don't think he is.

Sorry, it's Louis Arthur Charles. Des Lynam will be disappointed.

@izzythepush,
I was glad to see the tribute to Lord Louis of Mountbatten.

@FOUND SOUL,
Hard to doubt it when you compare pictures of Anne and her children to pictures of Harry. Not sure what part of the family they favour but they look so much alike.

@ehBeth,
Mountbatten had strong connections to Romsey, one of the local schools is named after him, and was named long before the IRA murdered him.

@roger,
Princess Diana came from abject poverty.

@chai2,
Prince Diana was as thick as mince. Her CSE grades were those kids on sink estates who don't even bother going to school, yet she went to an exclusive Swiss finishing school with class sizes of about 3 or 4.

Prince Charles is walking Markle down the aisle. Nice.

The American entry into the royal family really has been a Clampett affair. I hope someone can put a sock in that irritating sister and brother.

It will blow over, not like Pippa Middleton's arse.

@Lash,
Actually, does a 36 year old woman, who has been married before, need anyone to walk her down the aisle to "give her away"?

I think she should walk down the aisle by herself, accompanied by her little bridesmaids.

But, Prince Charles by her side will certainly make the festivities appear somewhat traditional, and even more regal, and will show that she is already considered a member of the Royal family.

I'm glad that the wedding is tomorrow, I'm actually getting bored with all the hype--it's been too repetitive, not very informative, and, consequently, not very interesting..

This is the Royal family, hardly a beacon of progressiveness. The fact that Harry's marrying an American divorcee is pretty incredible in itself. Last time that happened there was a constitutional crisis and an abdication.

Here's a link to the live BBC webpage about the wedding preparations.

@firefly,
Yeah. She's hardly the virginal Diana! Times have changed! I remember wondering if a team of scientists were poised inquisitively at the stirrups, looking up Diana's wazoo, checking for a hymen.

Not so much for Harry's wife.

I do love this story, though. Seems like a positive development in the royal family.

Of course, a white dress and being escorted by some man to give her away seems really silly, but hell. They're free to do as they please.
