I've just read somewhere that male pattern baldness can be cured with the aid of a pig's bladder.
Tell me, is this what Donald Trump wears on his head?

So many people were wondering what Catherine's dress would look like.

@CyrilSebastian,
Now they are wondering what Megan's dress will look like.

I'm not interested in most of the pre-wedding hype, but I plan on watching Prince Harry's wedding. I Enjoy these Royal shindigs.

@firefly,
There's been some nice stories about who's been invited.

Quote:
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are inviting 2,640 members of the public to the grounds of Windsor Castle on their wedding day - but the invitation stops short of a slice of the royal cake.

The commoners, 1,200 of whom will be chosen “from every corner of the United Kingdom”, will get to watch the arrival of the bride and groom as well as their wedding guests, and then the carriage procession as it leaves after the service.

The couple said they want members of the public “to feel part of the celebrations too”. They will not attend the ceremony inside St George’s chapel at Windsor Castle on 19 May, or the reception.

Of the invitees, 1,200 will be nominated by nine regional lord lieutenant offices. Lord lieutenants are the queen’s personal representatives in each county of the UK.

A statement from Kensington Palace said: “The couple has asked that the people chosen are from a broad range of backgrounds and ages, including young people who have shown strong leadership, and those who have served their communities.”

All of the tickets will be named, preventing anyone trying to make money by selling them.

@izzythepush,
I can't imagine what happened to my invitation--I haven't received it yet. Confused

@firefly,
Just be thankful you've not got an injunction.

Parting with several traditions if news is accurate. So very refreshing.

I think mom is walking the bride down the aisle, and I heard something about the bride giving a speech usually designated for the father of the bride?

Not sure about all this; just read somewhere.

I do like Diana’s sons.

This seems an appropriate place to post this.

Quote:
The Duchess of Cambridge has gone into labour with her third child.

Catherine and the Duke of Cambridge travelled to the Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, in central London on Monday morning.

Catherine has been on maternity leave since making a last royal visit to a charity lunch in London on 22 March.

The baby will be fifth in line to the throne and the Queen's sixth great-grandchild.

The birth will be announced with an email to the press and a celebratory tweet posted on the Kensington Palace Twitter feed.

There will also be the traditional custom of placing a framed paper proclamation on an ornate gold stand behind the iron railings of Buckingham Palace.

As with her first two children, Kate is hoping for a natural birth and does not know whether she is having a boy or a girl.

@izzythepush,
Princess Charlotte looked so adorable yesrerday, waving to the crowd as she entered the hospital with her dad and brother.

She really is a mini- me of the Queen.

@firefly,
I’ve thought she bears a striking resemblance to her great-grandmother, too.

@firefly,
I'm glad you're enjoying the spectacle. I've not really been following it to tell you the truth. I don't find them very interesting, they're a bit like the post office in that respect.

@izzythepush,
Right now, I find it a breath of fresh air and a relief from the sordidness that continually surrounds, and emanates from, Trump.

@firefly,
I'm glad they're helping to lighten the mood over there. Don't get me wrong, I'm not ant Royal, just not that interested in what a bunch of highly privileged people, however well meaning, get up to.

Maybe it's the proximity, prophets never being recognised in their own town, but most people over here are disinterested apart from a small, but loud and vocal minority who are completely mental about them.

I'm not that interested in the specific people, but I enjoy seeing the pomp and pagentry, as well as what everyone is wearing.

I hope he’ll be Prince Albert.

Such a great love story 💕❤️💕❤️🔥👏🏻👏🏻

Albert William Henry <——— 😏

Guess I couldn’t hope for that.

In a less familial world...

Albert William Charles

Charles isn’t only William’s dad, but Diana’s brother’s name.

Eh. Fun to consider.
