The GOP is so stupid. The USA has two percent of the world's oil reserves, and we use 25 % of the oil. So we drill like crazy and add a little bit of oil to the world's supply. That oil will sell at the high OPEC world prices. That ain't going to reduce oil prices much at all.

What we should do is nationalize the oil companies so that our citizens get gasoline at cost. There is no free market in the oil industry. Interestingly, Venezuelans pay $.12 a gallon gas.

If I mail you a calculator, would you be able to tell us the difference between those two prices?
