@ehBeth,
He’s an African Sulcata tortoise, I have two. Henry is 3 years old and Harry is two. They double in size every year it seems. Smile

My brother has two small tortoises. When there isnt anything to eat around, they also just go to dry land and stretch themselves in the sun.

Oh I can see that, jcboy!
He's obviously a warm weather boy.
What does he do during the cold months of the year?
Sleep a lot & dream of spring? Smile

@msolga,
It warmed up enough today to allow Henry to roam and graze in the yard. He’s gained another pound, must be the Holidays.

hehe, they don’t drink much water this time of the year so they have to soak for 30 minutes every 4 days. Marco was a bit surprised when he went into the laundry room and found them LOL.

@jcboy,
what was so surprising? were they doing laundry? Did they come out of their shells?

@Ragman,
I can't stand the big one, he hisses and growles at me. Those animals will be 300lbs each in a few years, I suppose we can always ride them down Central avenue in the next Gay Pride Parade!

@MMarciano,
We kept the box turtles in our gallery. If the art was boring, there were the turtles - even before art - re some children coming in the door.

I remember a thread post that we couldn't do that, baaad for the turtles. First turtle was well into his twenties..
