@jcboy,
I don't care what anyone says, I like Henry.

I see what you mean about the shape of his shell. It's quite high.

@ehBeth,
Some say its diet that causes that, I don’t believe it. They both eat the same foods and Harry isn’t doing that. I think it’s growing spurts, Henry had that a year ago then he grew and his shell smoothed out, now it’s pyramiding again which I believe means he’s just going through another growing spurt.

I bought a large plastic bin for Henry & Harry to soak in. The laundry room sink was a bit too small. Had them soaking outside getting some sun today.

@jcboy,
Sounds like you could use a TPS (tortoise positioning satellite) system for the little ones.

I’m starting to build a new outdoor Tortoise pen, just started the ground work today. It will be completely enclosed and have a tortoise house they can go into to get out of the heat when they need to. Plus screened in on top to keep the dogs out.

I’m using these stones as the flooring, has to be stone or they will dig their way out. 4 x 8 foot should be big enough for two to three years then I’ll have to enlarge it.

Thay r babies.
I have always been a pro-turtle person.

I rescued a turtle 1ce, in Upstate, NY.

Turtles go back into the Triassic Period of the Messozoic Era,
around c.2OO,OOO,OOO years ago.
Thay r older than T-Rexes and a lotta other dinosaurs.

Thay don 't care about falling asteroids; ( thay have their shells ).
