@mags314772,
Oh yeah. The last time I was in the hospital, they picked up a couple of broken ribs that I was unaware of. At my very firm instance, they did another round of x-rays and confirmed my impression of a fractured collar bone. You would have thought they could have figured that out all by their lonesome.

@mags314772,
I'm glad you caught this - woulda been better if the docs had picked it up.

I hope you're home soon - enjoying time with your happy dogs.

@dyslexia,
dys, you're right. Apparently, the term is used in the nursing world to describe patients who become agitated and confused toward evening.

@mags314772,
Well, I'm sober and sore this morning, but I've been up twice to go to the bathroom. They were able to do the bandaid surgery (four bandaids). The
surgeon said my gall bladder was highly scarred and inflamed, so no wonder I have felt so awful for so long. Goes to show that you have to be proactive as a medical consumer.

Still in the hospital. Have to wait until the surgeon releases me. The pain from the bandaid surgery is worse than I expected, but am very, very relieved that's it's over. Myhusband is here keeping me company and I just had a pain pill and a bite to eat, so the world is good. Thanks to all for your well wishes and comments..A2K is still a great community.

Relieved & very pleased that the operation went so well for you, mags.
Hooray, it's over!
Sorry to hear that the pain is so bad. Hopefully that will vanish soon.
As we can't visit you in hospital, I'll post these virtual flowers instead. Next best thing. Smile :

@Izzie,
Today was wonderful. Did story hour for the babies at the library and went out to lunch with my husband. Not eating much yet, and still no hunger at all. But no pain, either

@mags314772,
Mags, I wish I'd seen this earlier. Glad to read that you had the surgery and are on the mend. I had the same surgery in late January. I was back to work within a week and felt better than I had in a very long time.

Sounds like you had the same kind of chronic choliocystitis that I had. I just thought it was a result of poor eating habits and getting older. When I finally went to the doctor about it, I was thrilled to know it was fixable. Congrats, you'll be feeling great in no time!
