I have no idea of the cultural norms in China, but good luck and best wishes.
25 is not too old or to young to find a boyfriend.
You will be much more likely to meet someone you like if you have fun with friends or join a club or group that does things you enjoy. Do not join a club or group with the aim of finding a BF. Join a club or group because you enjoy that activity. finding a BF will take care of itself if you are enjoying the activity.
No you are not too "straight" here. I suspect you meant "open" or "straight talking"
