@wayne,
Having a suicide corps is unAmerican,
especially not on a mantatory, non-voluntary basis.

@OmSigDAVID,
ERRATUM:

"Having a suicide corps is unAmerican,
especially not on a mantatory, non-voluntary basis."

Shoud have been:

Having a suicide corps is unAmerican,
especially not on a mandatory, non-voluntary basis.

@OmSigDAVID,
Army recruits were transfered to the armored divisions, there was not one single refusal.

YES. I never heard of any refusal; none of them quit, either,
after thay met the Tigers, in their Shermen,
so far as I 've ever heard.

None-the-less, Roosevelt inflicted a death sentence upon many of them,
in exchange for their bravery, above n beyond the ordinary risks of war that everyone expects.

@OmSigDAVID,

Presumably, Roosevelt 'd have been very ashamed,
if this scandal had been revealed in the press; a matter of life and death.

Worse than the Watergate Scandal
