Skip formalities.
Make it short.
At the end make a summery
End with one good sentence which people will remember.

Rewrite, rewrite, rewrite. Learn as much as possible by heart
Look at people in the audiance so that they get the feeling you are talking to them personally.
Don´t get that preacher style looking to the left and to the right all the time.
