Diabetes medication mix question

I am a 45 year old man who has just been diagnosed as a Diabetic, I wanted to see if anyone could recommend me a medication mix that they have found to be effective.

I have tried several herbal concotions, to no effect. My conclusion is that anything useful will have to be prescribed by you doctor. He can also be expected to have an answer to your question.
