"When you are mate shopping, operate out of a sense of abundance, not scarcity. Deliberately increase the flow of people through your life." - Susan Page, IF I'M SO WONDERFUL, WHY AM I STILL SINGLE?
What does the author mean by saying "mate shopping"? Could anyone tell me?
@Justin Xu,
it's the authors way of saying looking for a significant other (boyfriend/girlfriend/husband /wife)
@Justin Xu,
I havn't read the book, but I'd like to take a crack at the author's question...
"IF I'M SO WONDERFUL, WHY AM I STILL SINGLE?"...
Maybe thinking that you are so wonderful is the problem. There are countless non-wonderful people who've successfully purchased their mates.
"When you are mate shopping, (looking for companionship, boyfriend, lover, girlfriend) operate (think) out of a sense of abundance,(with a sense that there are many worthwhile candidates out there,) not scarcity (not a limited number of possible people) . Deliberately (try hard to) increase the flow of people through your life.(increase the number of people you come in contact with)"
author??- Susan Page
Title of book or article?? IF I'M SO WONDERFUL, WHY AM I STILL SINGLE?
@PUNKEY,
Thank you Punkey. Your paraphrase gives me a lot of help in translating this sentence.
