How do I block users here and their posts from view?

Go to their profile page and click "ignore user". I do believe it's under the avatar on the profile page.

Click on their name, next to their avatar picture. On their user page, there's a button underneath their picture that says 'ignore user.' After you hit that, you won't see their posts any longer.

Did that-but they don't have the option of monitoring ignored users? Giving you the option to ignore posts and PMs?

Some of us ignore by just scrolling past someone's posts, at least on some subjects.
If you do use Ignore, the person's posts will show up as ignored user in tiny print, with the word "view", which you can click on.
If you do that, the next time you see that page, the post will have gone back to "ignored user".

i just scroll past if i don't want to read, i tried the ignore button once, but, much like picking a scab, i kept opening the posts and looking at them, i think my ignore experience lasted about four posts
