woof...woof....bark...bark...
My dog believes I am a higher spiritual power as I am the keeper of the leash and the food.
My cat's think I'm just another slave.
My dog worships the potato chip. Not that I feed them to her, but she can be out at the fence by the gate and still hear the wayward chip hit the floor.
Some years ago, maybe the 1980s,
I noticed that my dog, Mike, had too many of his
giant sized water bowls scattered over my patio,
so I took one of them and put it out of the way
on top of a structure for housing garbage cans.
Several months later, passing by the area,
I saw that leaves from my maple trees
had fallen into that bowl, and it was filled
with rain water. I saw that it was inhabited
by multiple species of aquatic life, swimming around.
That was their world.
If thay had a Space Program,
it 'd be to get out of Mike's water dish.
If thay had a creation mythology,
it woud be of me carrying the bowl
from the patio to the top of the garbage can shed.
If thay knew their Cosmological origin,
woud thay be embarrassed ?
Shoud I enact a law that thay shoud only use fonetic spelling in there ?
@OmSigDAVID,
They already did that one on Twilight Zone
@OmSigDAVID,
As long as you dont try to publish the story, the estate wont take any serious action against you for plagiarism
My cat KNOWS there is no higher spiritual power.....
We are all his subjects!
One of my cats has this incredible wide-eyed WTF look of puzzlement whenever a strange sound happens. He is clearly not omniscient.
@hingehead,
HH? Maybe your cat knows far more about the interdimensional source of the sound than you can possibly understand! For every dropped plate, you cat realizes that somewhere nearby there has been a tear in the fourth or fifth brane.

I mean that it comes naturally to them
to read the minds of humans (humen).
My cat is often found communicating with his "Anigod" (as he calls him - short for God of Animals, I think)
The cat has just informed me that his Anigod is at present working on a new creation project, whereby he is going to cross a seagull with a parrot.
Apparently, when this new strain of bird swoops down and shits on someone, it will also have the ability to stop and apologise before flying off.
This follows on from the last project where a parrot was crossed with a hen.
Not only does it lay an egg, but it can tell the farmer all about it.
