His new Internet buddies have shared other gas-saving techniques like the
"pulse and glide" and the "warp stealth".

What are "pulse and glide" and "warp stealth"? Can you explain them for me?

Both of these relate to Toyota Prius hybrids. You can read about them here, but the short answer is they are driving techniques to save gas.
