there's more than one way to skin a cat...

do you know how to highlight the text you want to post?

once you've done that, type Ctrl-C
that stores the text in your computer's memory.

to post that text, type Ctrl-V...

Of course he COULD, h2oboy. You've got so many bread dead voters, reptilian knee jerk Neanderthals like you, that Reagan, Bush, Bush were elected, the dumber two of those three idiots twice each.

@H2O MAN,
Facts don't lie - conservatives just know how to distort them

[and when they are questioned on their distortions, they resort to emoticons]

RJB since we seem to bomb out on the "Copy" step, let me try again. You've got your text highlighted. Put the cursor on top of it somewhere. Click the right button. You'll see a list of actions. Move your cursor to "Copy" and click that, continue as above. Or do you have a Mac? They're just different enough to be confusing.

Gotta go with JTT here. Conservatives don't deal with facts. They deal with selected factoids and ignore any context. For example, looking at H20's comparison of alled "facts": employment was in free fall during the last months of the Bush presidency, as was the economy. Bush left him 7.8% unemployment and rapidly rising. It's now 8.3% and falling. I remember last winter you guys predicting gleefully unemployment still hovering around 10% come election time and Obama in deep **** because of it. Isn't happening. Like most of your economic prognostication, it bears no relation to facts. Look at a graph of gas prices. Rapid runup, to aabout the same level as today under the Bush administration. They never got down to $1.81, or anywhere near it again. Whoever created H2O/s chart of comparisons is more twisted than a corkscrew.

@MontereyJack,
Um, so I got to highlighting and the "copy" thing. Where is the "reply box for a topic?"

@H2O MAN,
watersquirt's chart is amusing.
It shows GW Bush with 2 wars, and Obama with 3 wars. watersquirt can't figure it out that 3 minus 2 = 1 war for Obama. The "war" that Obama was involved in was in support operations only; he did not "start" any war. He also fails to mention that Obama ceased war operations in Iraq, and is planning to cease war operations in Afghanistan; both wars that GW Bush started - that were never funded, and increased the deficit for Obama.

@MontereyJack,
Easier route:

MicroSoft systems:

1) Highlight the text as per MJ's explanation or if you want all of the desired text click on the page to place your cursor in the proper position then hold down the Ctrl button and hit A [Ctrl A = Select All]

2) Then,

Ctrl C = Copy

3) Then go to the new page where you want to paste the copied text, click on the page to get your cursor in place, then

Ctrl V = Paste

When you right click and read the list of available commands, you can also see the shortcut keys to the right of each command.

Try it on any webpage, RJB. Try it right now on this page. Ctrl A will blue/highlight the entire page. [Remember that Ctrl A is only the select command]

Using MJ's method, you can be selective about which portions of a page you want to copy.

RJB, it's the box that you type your post in, and then you hit the "reply" button and it posts (the box that you just typed your question in).

Thanks for the suggestions. I will work on that later.

Meanwhile, earlier in the week Mitt Romney raised the idea of indexing the minimum wage to inflation. The minimum wage is currently at $7.25 an hour. I wrote earlier that the rate, if indexed by the CPI-W used for adjusting Social Security benefits, would put the minimum wage at $7.65 an hour.
Many conservatives criticized Romney. Here is Santorum on the subject. I am in no way reflecting on his sentence structure. It was a live, unrehearsed interview.
"That is a very bad idea. Oh, absolutely. You can't do that. You want to (be) driving wage inflation? That's a very bad idea. When-when the minimum wage drops below a certain level -and it's usually a floor of about 7% of wages at minimum wage, I've supported, you know, increasing it back up to make sure that it stays above that level, so there is, in fact, a minimum wage.
"But when you index it, you're not talking about a minimum wage. You're talking about an index that's going to drive wage inflation."

@realjohnboy,
Santorum is wrong; minimum wage does not drive inflation. He doesn't understand simple economics.

What drives inflation is when there is more currency than goods or services.
At $8.00 an hour, the income for that individual is $16,640; hardly a living wage.

If you're using windows, right-clicking on the highlighted text will bring up the context menu. One of the options in the context menu should be "copy."

So:

Right-click on highlighted text. Left-click on "copy."

What he actually meant in an overall sense, it's hard to say from the limited, and highly disjointed context, but he never said what you've said he said, CI.

It still means it will have no effect on "wage inflation."

@H2O MAN,
Hey, watersquirt, just calling someone stupid must be supported by challenging what that person said. You have 'NEVER' provided any proof for your claims. You're the one that's stupid.

Your lack of ability to think on your own is your greatest weakness and loss.
Let's see you show some evidence for anything you say; you can't. That's because you are totally ignorant.
