Otis went to the vet today, and that was the dx.

These teen years are hard. I hope he won't get self conscious about his looks.

I am absolutely sure no one else on this planet knows what you are referring to.

The vet gave me a shot of steriods, and we have to get those clearasil pads.

um....as far as the salad, it's roland who loves that stuff, otis just serves it out.

rolands complexion is wonderful, so I guess that says something for salad tossing.

@chai2,
He's not picking at it, is he? Tell him that'll leave scars. Maybe get some of that Proactive. That is just so weird - cats with acne.

@chai2,
Oh, no! Nermal has a much more mild case that looks about the same. I'm keeping an eye on it, and it seems to be going away. I'm pretty sure it's more a result of scratching himself, in his case.

One of my cats, Josephine, had that. Took her to the vet and, after $65 I got a bit of medicine. Seems she wasn't licking that area under her chin, allowing it to get soiled. I think the "medicine" could also be dish soap and water, or maybe something like Bactine. I check her now and then, see if it's clean there. How would she reach it, though, with her tongue? Odd.

Just keep it clean 'til the cat does it himself. Herself.

As special as a child? Hmmm... wonder what George Carlin would have to say about that. Or maybe you mean 'special needs'?
