@CalamityJane,
"blow drys" - that reminds me of my former MIL who was sitting on a plane and overheard two girls in the row in front talking about their sex lives. She gets to our house, where everybody is having dinner, and she comes out with this story one girl told. So then she turned to my ex and asked him, "What's a blow dry?" All the men started choking and left the room.

@chai2,
Chai, she's not "Princess" yet - she hasn't really worked for the past 8 years.
"Kate in waiting" is her dubbed name.

@CalamityJane,
Ha - did you see where she tried to sell - what was it, a tour through his house or something - for 500,000 pounds? She must be in serious debt!

@Mame,
Exactly Mame! She got caught with it too. Well, Kate Middleton's parents are
very affluent so she won't ever have to resort to palace tours. Very Happy

I'd say 'everything' just don't give a ****.
If I was her I'd stay away from Paris.

I think it is a great hope for the future. If a bald inbred can get a girl, I am a shoe-in.

Couldnt give a fat rats clacker apart from the misinformation.
Her Parents own/run a mail order business according to our TV news. Kate works in the family business I dont know to what extent she actually works.

Will this mean a decrease in postage and handling?

Good luck to the young couple.
The crownprinces and crownprincess in Scandinavia are now all married to commoners and it seems to work out very well.
Before the marriage they - the commonors - had to go through a hard school of learning how to "walk on polished hardwood floors" as we would say in Denmark.

Of course the security will cost a lot of money to protect all the foreign and British dignities. Why all the protests against that? There are no protests when the same people show up as politicians or the royals come for a state visit. Then a lot of security is needed too.

@Linkat,
My first response: how much will this forthcoming "royal wedding" cost the British tax payer? At a time of heavy government cutbacks to public services & community welfare (which will severely effect the lives of many, many ordinary people).

Then: Why should just about all our news media outlets assume that we are all absolutely fascinated by this forthcoming wedding? And (as in the past) deluge us with all the trivial details leading up to the event? Say nothing of maximum coverage of the event itself. Maybe we are more interested in real news than some media concocted "royal" soap opera?

@msolga,
Well Charlie & Di's wedding cost 30 million. That was way back then, so I would imagine this will cost as much if not more.
