@cicerone imposter,
Bricks I got, but I don't think they would eliminate the problem. I'm also thinking the screw and washer idea is out to lunch. In fact, I'm not sure you really understand the problem.

@roger,
I know for a fact my imagination is lacking, but I just wanted to help a fellow senior through a difficult problem. A for effort, F for bad ideas.

@cicerone imposter,
But, I want my chair to roll. It can't do that with four bricks and a mess of cement drills all over the place.

<What's a cement drill?>

@roger,
Me, I don't like the use of the word cement all over the place. The word is concrete. I'm from California..

@ossobucotemp,
True. "Cement" can mean adhesive or glue.

As any olders here know, I know a fair amount and am trending toward learning.

I'm a fool re flattening rugs.

@margo,
I rather liked this one. I had to read it several times to get the gist of it, but like most of the early replies, it was well intended.

The championship of your rug has gotten rumpled in displace. Wetting and exercising it is equal exercising a tent before craft.

@cicerone imposter,
I think I mentioned that I'm now using a bamboo chair mat. It works really well, but it's kind of awkward to move for vacuuming the carpet.

Fortunately, that's only a spring cleaning chore, and I'm only thinking about last year's spring house cleaning.

@cicerone imposter,
If you fall and hit your head, which I have done, rugs or carpets can be buffers... though also, trippers.

@ossobucotemp,
The only reason we have a throw rug in our entrance hallway is because our son brought it back from Saudi Arabia when he served two terms there during the first Gulf War.
