Well, that question is grammatically correct. The titular question is also grammatically correct. I can only assume that you are not a native speaker of English, and that you are worried that your English is poor. Without a good deal more evidence, i have no reason to assume that your English is poor. If you have any questions about English, don't hesitate to ask. There are many people here who will be willing to help you.

Hello, could anybody make friends with me?

But there's much more to language than grammatical correctness.

'any----' is the normal neutral used in most questions,

Does anyone know Bill?

Does anyone have an extra pen?

In softer situations, we substitute 'some----',

Would you like/Do you want anything to eat?

becomes

Would you like/Do you want something to eat?

Could anybody make friends with me?

becomes

Could somebody/someone make friends with me?

Simple: Because your culture is so rich... They are found in inverse ratio... The more natural culture a person has the less influenced by English and Americans they are... The trick is to learn to communicate better in English without accepting our natural contempt for other, more natural, cultures.

@Fido,
A more silly load of bullshit i have rarely seen. Human beings are a part of the natural world. Any of their productions are as natural as any other part of the natural world. Nature poisons itself and runs species to extinction all the time. To claim that any one culture is more natural than another is akin to the pigs in Animal Farm claiming that some animals were more equal than others.

Nonsense, absolute and utter piffle, fluff, bullshit. There are some cultures that have never synthesized chemical compounds and introduced them into their environment. That would make that culture a more natural one than one that had.

Setanta; for a knowledgable guy, you need a good dictionary... Nature and natural, and even nation have to do with with the relationship between a person and their mother; Get it: Natal, navel??? Natural law as we have it, has its beginnings, not in nature, but in the Roman Law of Nations...

In this sense, all morality is natural since we get it from our mothers, and our bond with them; and as you know, Matrilinear tracing of geneology was the more ancient and common since people always knew who the mother was...

So ,when I say natural culture, I mean one that is undisturbed by modern civilizations... We call America a melting pot; but in regard to cultures it is an acid bath... In the interest of fitting in, people are robbed of their cultural uniqueness, and for what??? Many people speak romance languages because the Romans were such conquerors... More people have English as a second language than any other because the English were great conquerors... But what is English??? Some of our words go right back to India, almost exact in German, Greek, Latin, and so forth... But English bears the mark of conquered and conquerors alike, is about half Latin in roots, and everything else... And then there is the influence of Christianity which tended to dispose of any behavior it could not make sense of, or thought influenced by paganism... What we have a culture is a washed out homosgeneity with little to recommend it...

What do we eat??? What are you hungry for, and how much of it is ethnic, and not itself washed out, and tamed to our taste... We trash all we do not understand of other cultures, and other people of other cultures should not look at us as superior only because our technology has bowled over them... Instead, they should hang on fast to their own cultures and use what they can of ours because first, we destroy cultures, then communities, and finally individuality... Culture is knowledge, and it is best if people can keep what they know while adding to it... Culture is history, just as language is history, and people must keep the old while learning the new... In fact, it is very good for the mind in my opinion... Look at the Jews who had always to thing in two tongues... It made them better at thinking...

More than us... Anyone living where their people have been for a thousand years has more natural culture than us... When we reject ethnicity it is just like our killing off ot the Indians... We are all losing part of the human story that might some day help us to understand some myth or behavior beyond our grasp... What is the meaning of it all??? Our attitude is, Western, Christian, white bread and mayonaise is all that is important; so dig a grave, throw it in and kick dirt on the rest...
