@eoe,
Me too!

Isn't it sad that males don't share quite so generously, though?

@dadpad,
Tomorrow then, dp? Wink

Just kidding, no pressure intended.
On anyone.

This stuff is just such ancient history to me. Almost another life. A long, long time ago.

@msolga,
Same here. It's history and although I remember the pain of getting dumped by my first love so long ago, the memories are all in my head. There's no emotion attached to them at all. But there are some people, as farmerman said, who drag their ancient history around as if it's todays' news. Not too long ago I was talking to an old high school friend of mine and he told me about another friend who is still mournful about his high school girlfriend, considering her 'the one who got away'. We were teenagers, for pete's sake. If he hasn't met anyone or done any more with his life in 40 years to best his high school experience, that is very sad indeed.

@boomerang,
Do you remember who? yes

Do you remember where? yes

Does s/he hold some special place in your heat? i remember her fondly

Were you married to/ did you marry this person? no

Have you ever Googled the person? sure

Have you ever looked for them on a social networking site? sure

Do you pine over your "lost love"? well, a couple of years after we broke up, i was in an apartment laundry room with my girlfriend at the time, and i was browsing through an old Globe and Mail Report on Business magazine, when i came across a list of the richest people in Canada, and there on the list were her father and uncle, aways down the list but a pretty staggering dollar amount none the less (40 million), so pine, not really, but man that's a fair chunk of change

Do you now think they're an asshole? no, can't say what her feelings are towards me though

Thank you all for your replies.

I started thinking about this after reading another thread about a woman being upset because her sister was dating her ex-boyfirend. The woman felt that this broke some "girl code".

I wondered if I was fundamentaly different for not having gushy feelings over my first lover. I've never googled or facebooked him or anything like that but truth be told, I've only actively sought out two people from my past over the internet.

In your eagerness to feel (yet again!) outraged & discriminated against, Ionus, you haven't read the thread nearly carefully enough.

From boomerang's opening post:

Quote:
Does s/he hold some special place in your heat?

Which means you, too, can respond to the questions!
(Particularly this one about lasting heat. Smile )
I look forward to your participation.

This is an assumption based on bias.

I did respond, albeit in a jocular manner....at least I thought it was a jocular response.

You are anticipating my participating ? What makes you think I have any knowledge of the loss of my virginity ? Who says I am not a virgin...as I hinted at, but it went over your head.

Wrrongggg, Ionus! Smile

I was responding to your comment:

If you'd actually read the thread you would have noticed that comments about male virginity were welcomed here, too.
Congratulations to djjd & dadpad on your contributions! Ground-breakers of your gender, the pair of you! Razz

To the questions? Oh you fibber, you! Very Happy

But it's OK if you don't want to comment, Ionus. That's perfectly OK. This thread was just a bit of fun & nostalgia.
