The dancing black bird

I am trying to find a bird that I saw on Nat Geo a few years ago.

This bird if I remember correctly is all black. He makes his nest in the grass and it looks like a tube.
He then brings a lot of colorful things to the front of the nest in hopes of getting the female to walk through it.

He can and sometimes does, pulls his wings over his head to make a c shape, then pops back and forth....

I cant think of anything else specific about this bird and what I am entering into google is not bringing out the bird I am looking for.

Anyone know what it is?

YES!!! thank you!!

There is an artist at the burning man who makes a BIG display out of wood that looks JUST like that nest. I know that is where he got the idea from and seeing it human size is pretty awesome.

The last time I saw him was last September. He was in San Diego.
In the Zoo, with his friends.

It was then that he bit me on the index finger.
It was then that I discovered that I like being bitten by big black birds.
It feels good.

@shewolfnm,
PBS's Nature show had an episode on the bowerbird a couple years ago.

Here's a link to the companion web articles about the bird:

This is a link to their list of other resources on the net about bowerbirds:

I do not believe you are being honest with us. Sorry, but that's how I see it.

I had just given him several dollars.
I put them in his jar. (He did not have his wallet with him.)

Then, I petted him.
