The thing I miss on A2K the most is SPELL CHECK

Am I alone in wishing that the spell check is restored? I know that it wasn't done when the new site was installed because of time and money constraints.

Is it time to reinstall spell check? How many members would like to see that NOW?

@djjd62,
I would like spell check on A2K rather a different site. I know I can go to google but that's not practical.

At age 81, I find I make lots of typos and sometimes spelling. My fingers don't seem to want go to the letters I think I'm touching. Frustrating when I don't discover my error in time to correct it.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Firefox checks spelling just fine. I didn't have to install anything as the option is default on.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
I would like this option as well. The only weakness of the Google Chrome browser is its piss poor spell check system.

it's interesting, safari doesn't correct my canadian "our" spellings (colour, honour etc), yet firefox and chrome did, is this because my language & text format on my mac is canadian english, and safari being a mac browser defaults to this setting

@parados,
It looks like the most popular addon for spell checking in IE is ieSpell.

I haven't used it personally so can't vouch for it.

@djjd62,
This is the proof I've been looking for! Apple is using Safari as a beachhead tool for the Canadian invasion of the US!

Encouraging the Canadian spelling! Those dastardly bastards!

I'm onto you Generel DJ! Shocked

@djjd62,
Firefox allows you to add dictionaries.
How to add dictionaries

It appears there is a Canadian English dictionary.

So long as u spell foneticly, u 'll have no problems; no need for spell check.

@BumbleBeeBoogie,
Use Firefox. It automatically underlines misspelled words.

Why would one want to look foolish, uneducated, and amateurish? Nothing is going to change, so why bother?

I'm sorry, but this phonetic crusade that you're on seems pointless, and I might add, irritating to other readers.

Victory is INEVITABLE, especially with modern texting.

Change is irritating. I despise the metric system,
since I learned the English system, but I must admit
that most of the metric system is better
(excluding its temperature scale; Fahrenheit is better).

Well, if you say so, but I don't believe, myself. It may happen in "popular culture", but not be accepted in business.

Change may be irritating, but one can learn to adapt. I thought I would never get used to metric (here in Canada), but I'm getting better at it.
